Chances are you are as concerned as our staff at ACTIVATE AMERICA NOW (AAN) about the direction this country has been headed under Donald Trump's anti-American administration. After eight years of steady progress and grownup, professional leadership under President Obama, we have been thrown into nonstop, daily chaos by a man who hasn't the slightest regard for his Democratic responsibilities under our Constitution, or any cogent inclinations toward making this country great. He is in it only for him and his corrupt family.
Worse, Trump has been aided and abetted by the Republican Party in his quest to build his corporate brand. Because the GOP controls all the levers of power in government, it is busy ramming through legislation that viciously targets women, minorities, immigrants, our environment, the working press, and so many of our basic American values.
So how do we stop them?
ACTIVATE, that's how.
At AAN, we are a diverse team of concerned Americans from across our country with years of experience working in media, government, and the entertainment industry. We have coalesced around the idea that if we can help educate and drive our fellow Americans to the polls, we can win, and win, and win. It's really that simple. Like you, we know that what is going on in this country right now is wrong and very dangerous. We also know this could have been prevented if we had ALL gone to our voting places in unison and with purpose on that fateful day in November of 2016.
The 2018 Elections are vital and the first big step toward getting America and its citizens back on track. These elections follow overwhelming Democratic successes in Virginia, New Jersey and Alabama in 2017 races. We have the momentum. We have created a ripple.
Will this ripple ACTIVATE a massive, resonant moment in November?
We can do this, America. Everything depends on it.
The solution is actually very simple: Americans need to get involved, show up at the polls, and VOTE.
President Obama might have put it best with three simple words: "Don't boo ... VOTE!"
